He was a deacon at New Bethel for many years and a member of St. James United Methodist West. He was a bus driver for USI Women’s Basketball and taught himself how to play the organ. He loved his family and enjoyed taking vacations.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Schreiber; son, David (Julie) Schreiber; daughter, Karen Flener; grandsons, Jacob Schreiber, Kyle Flener and Jeffrey (Emily) Raymond; granddaughter, Kari (Flener) Jenkins (Brian); great-grandchildren, Nolan and Tyler Raymond and Sophia and Olivia Jenkins; sister, Mary-Ann Ray; and brother-in-law, Ron Brown.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 18, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Gene Backes, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
