Barbara Ann Woods

Barbara Woods, 90, of Evansville, IN passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family as they sang her home. She was born in Ft. Branch, IN on February 11, 1933 to Fern and Ermal Reed.

Barbara was a long standing member of North Haven General Baptist Church where she faithfully served in many areas of ministry. She was also involved for many years in Child Evangelism Fellowship. One of Barbara’s greatest joys was being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Myron; son, Dennis Reed; parents, Fern and Ermal Reed; sisters, Joyce and Sandy and brothers, Herb, Ray, Michael and Joe.

Barbara is survived by daughters, Brenda Osborne (Steve), Toyzann Collazo (Jaime), Julie Whitlock (Jeff) and Myra Fine (Brandon); 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Brandon Ryor and Pastor Ron Austin, burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch, IN. Friends and family may visit Monday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Deaconess Midtown for the care they provided and also the staff at Heritage Hospice for their care and support of our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Haven General Baptist Church Youth or Heritage Hospice.
