Beatrice A. Stein Richardson

Beatrice A. Richardson, 90, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born November 15, 1925, in Spencer County, IN, one of seven children of the late Louis and Mildred (Raccine) Stein.

She moved to Evansville at the age of 18 and married her lifetime sweetheart at their home church, Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, on June 17, 1944. She was a member there for over 70 years and enjoyed quilting and sewing for her church. Beatrice loved to cook and entertain, enjoyed bowling with her late husband, and belonged to a Euchre Club. She was a loving mother and wife who cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Richardson; daughter, Sherry Summer; and brothers, Kermit and Wilfred Stein.

She is survived by her daughters, Gay (Ed) McMichael and Robin Collins; grandchildren, Lynn, Carrie, Jessie, Kyle, and Damein; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Opal and Phyllis; brothers, Johnnie and Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Thomas Wenig, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
