Bernadine Marian Pigman

Marian graduated from Memorial High School in 1946. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a past secretary of the PTA, and past chairman of the Fall Festival Booth. Marian was a volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank and a Pink Lady at Deaconess Hospital. She also delivered books to the home bound. She was a member of VFW Post 1114 Auxiliary. She was formerly employed at Sears.

Marian was preceded in death by her son, Richard Pigman; grandson, Kyle Abshier and sisters, Dorothy Meyer and Jeanette Halbig.

Marian is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Pigman; sons, Bob Pigman (Debbie), Bill Pigman (Mary), Evansville; daughters, Kathy Abshier (Dan), Bloomington, IN, Beth Barchet (Mike), Evansville, Carol Pigman, Evansville; grandchildren, Jessica Hinton (David), Jared Pigman, Jennifer Pigman, Jeff Pigman (Amy), Fishers, IN, Tim Pigman, Evansville, Michael Pigman (Patty), Plainfield, IN, Brian Pigman, Chicago, IL, Matt Abshier (Wendy), Springfield, IL, Nick Abshier, Bloomington, IN, Chris Abshier (Leslie), Bloomington, IN, Sara Abshier, Bloomington, IN, Aaron Barchet, Evansville, Andy Barchet, Indianapolis, IN, Mary Beth Murray (Getty), Evansville, Adam Barchet, Evansville, Ben Barchet, Evansville; great-grandchildren, Jackson Hinton, Jacob Hinton, Jillian Hinton, Reese Pigman, Allison Abshier, Tyler Abshier, Gracie Abshier, Haylie Abshier, Audrey Murray, Keira Murray, Alex Murray, Eli Barchet; and sister, Wanda Helfert.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiated by Father David Nunning with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit, Sunday, September 30, 2012, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM and Monday, from 9:00 AM until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
