Bertie Lou Fleming

Bertie Lou Fleming, 90, of Boonville, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020. She was born on Sunday, April 20, 1930 in Evansville to the late William and Veronica (Myer) Barnes. She was very active in her church, Faith Nazarene. Bertie volunteered for 10 years at United Caring Services homeless shelter. She worked at Keller Crescent for 28 years. Bertie raised seven kids and was very proud to have all of her grandchildren. Bertie was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, “Bud” Wilford Fleming; stepmother, Ida Barnes; grandson, Timmy Miles and sisters, Lodusky Wolfinger, Eldiva Ricketts, and Lozella Barnes. She is survived by her children, Sandy Miles (Ray), Wesley Wilson (Andrea), Jim Wilson (Lisa), Cheryl Morgan (Mickey), Bob Fleming (Peggy), Millie Scales (Terald), and Dwayne Fleming (Judy); grandchildren, Tammy Rawlins (Tony), Randal Miles (Jana), Jeremy Wilson, Frank Harris, Willie Goodmen (Tiffany), Shawn Goodmen, Greg Wilson, Chris Martin (Leslie), Danny Musgrave (Nicole), Steve Musgrave (Emily), Scott Morgan (Julie), Chad Morgan (Natalie), Eric Morgan (Elizabeth), Kendall Fleming, Tera Oller (Jarrod), Mandy Overton (Justin), Emily Fleming, Adam Keitel, Emma Keitel, Olivia Keitel, and Quinn Keitel; 43 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodmont Health Campus for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Alexander East Chapel with Brother Dan Caldwell and Pastor Cathy West officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
