She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Charles L. Gibson; her parents, Thomas and Dorothy Dorris; her brother, Tommy Dorris; her grandson, Christopher Kinney; and her great-grandson, Kaiser Schlimmer.
Carol is survived by her three sons, Dewayne Gibson (Lisa), David Gibson (LaVonda), and Todd Gibson; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Gibson, Charlie Gibson, Meghon Gibson, Josh Gibson, Lauren Schlimmer, Jacob Gibson, and Shawn Kinney; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
