

Christopher J. Baker, 58, of Floyds Knobs, IN passed away after a lengthy battle with illness on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 2, 1967, in Evansville, IN to his parents, James D., Jr. and Gloria M. (Hall) Baker.
He was awarded the Bronze Medal Award, which is the highest honorary award given by the Census Bureau and is granted for superior performance characterized by outstanding or significant contributions which have increased the Census Bureau’s efficiency and effectiveness. The award was presented by the Deputy Director at their Headquarter’s Building in Washington, D.C. Christopher was an Information Technology project manager for the Department of Commerce and was stationed at the National Processing Center for the U.S Census Bureau in Jefferson, IN. He was an avid golfer and a fan of the University of Alabama.
Christopher is survived by his parents, James and Gloria of Evansville, IN; brother, David Baker (Christy) of Mt. Vernon, IN; and many cousins and extended family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714 with Pastor Bill Altman officiating. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Private Burial will be held at Lemmon Family Cemetery.
