

She was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 28, 1986. She was adopted by Keith and Ann Goad on July 1, 1986. Claire graduated from Harrison High School in 2005 and attended Ivy Tech Community College. She participated in Unified Sports at Harrison and Special Olympics Bowling after high school. Claire was a Christian and attended New Life Church. She loved going to Mexico Beach, FL., especially when her paternal grandparents went along. She also loved spending time at Harmonie State Park in the fall with her maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Claire also enjoyed attending Song Shine Evansville where she made many friends. She loved her dogs, C.D. (Claire’s Dog) and Fergus. She developed a rare genetic disorder that affected her fine and gross motor skills in her 20’s, but continued to live a full life until her passing.
Claire was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Frances Goad and Lib Turber; grandfather, Kenneth Goad; and her aunt, Brenda Goad.
She is survived by her parents; grandfather, Dr. Frank Turber; aunts, Vicki (David) Campbell and Teri (Bob) Royer; cousins, Laura Campbell and Dee and Scott Royer; and good friends, Renee Appel and Corey Miles.
A special thanks to the Doctors, nurses, techs and clergy at St. Mary’s. Claire’s wishes were to be cremated.
Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Jeff Harford. Friends may visit Tuesday from 9:00AM to service at the funeral home.
