

Clarence “Clancy” H. Boze, 94, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born to the late John and Beulah Boze on June 15, 1923, in Madisonville, KY.
He went to Central High School and graduated from Mechanic Arts in 1942. Clarence then joined the US Army, and met his wife while stationed in Scotland. After the war was over, he went back to Evansville to start his family. Clarence began his working career at Whirlpool then later retired from George Koch & Sons in 1986. Bowling was his passion and he had a lifelong love of the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed playing Clabber, Scrabble and working crossword puzzles. His life’s proudest achievements included his 64 years of marriage with his “scottish lassie”, eight children, and bowling a perfect game in 1961 when he said bowling was a “real bowler’s game”.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Alexina Boze; son, John Walter Ingram Boze; five sisters; and one brother.
He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Market, Paula Ann (Jim) Boze and Deborah J. Boze; sons, Clarence Douglas (Sheryl) Boze, Derek L. Boze, Alex Ian Boze and Mark Allen Boze; grandchildren, Johnna, Nikki, Damon, Heather, Tracy, Amy, Kari, Melody, Christopher, Olivia, Maggie, Jill, David, Derek Jr., Daniel, Kyle, Jennifer and Mark Jr.; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Karl Mann, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
