

Clyde was a beautiful lady who lived life to the fullest. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is on her next journey, meeting the love of her life right behind the moon, so they can go on to their mansion in the sky.
Clyde was a member of River Bend Association and Amvets Post 84. She loved sewing and crocheting.
She was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 49 years, Herbert Knight Blackburn, her brothers Kenneth and Verlin Gerbig and sister, Gladys (Gerbig) Jackson.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Blackburn Gough (Robert), Patricia Blackburn McDaniel (Roger) all of Evansville; and Dieatra Blackburn (Betsy West) of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren Rainillie Young (Nathan), Robert E. Gough (Stacey), Anthony Stepro, and Steven Stepro all of Evansville; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence Gerbig of Evansville and Emory Gerbig of Dallas, TX.
Services are at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Everett Freels, with burial in Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Dr. Ballou and his staff, and the nurses and staff at Charlier In-patient Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
