Clyde Franklin Wells, 83, of Evansville, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1942, in Grape Vine, KY to the late Dewey and Beatrice (Duncan) Watkins.
He had a career in Mechanics and worked at Liberty Auto for 31 years. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan (Page) Wells; sons, Michael Killion (Judy); Steven Wells (Melody Morris); and Terry Wells (Jennifer); 10 grandchildren; 4 great-granddaughters; and sister, Paulette Wells.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, IN 47714. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 and from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Thursday. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
