

Dan, born February 25, 1960 to Vicky (Kaiser) Lewis Mohon and Hermus “Moose” Lewis. Graduated Reitz High School in 1978. Married Debbie Hollerbach on July 24, 1982. Blessed with two sons, Ryan and Jason and three grandsons, Tyler, Caleb and Dalton and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Meghan Lewis.
Dan grew up working in the family heating and air business started by his grandfather. Dan eventually took over the business from his father in 1995. Dan’s sons worked with him until 2017 when he sold the business to his oldest son, transferring the business to the 4th generation. Dan was active in his community. He was a 40-year member of the West Side Nut Club having served as Festival Chairman in 2000 and President in 2010. Dan served on the Evansville Water Utility Board, the Alcohol Board and was a CASA Volunteer. Dan was a big supporter of USI Athletics and was a member of the USI Varsity Club and Dugout Club. Dan was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, German Township having served on the Church Council.
Dan loved spending time with his three grandsons, taking them for lawn mower rides, watching them wrestle and play baseball. Dan enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, hunting, golf and was a great cook.
Dan is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie (Hollerbach) Lewis; sons, Ryan (Meghan) and Jason Lewis; three grandsons, Tyler, Caleb and Dalton Lewis; God children, Randy (Sara) Kuebler and Jessica (Josh) Brown; brothers, Doug (Terri) and Darren (Rachel) Lewis; Mother-in-law, Margaret Hollerbach; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Bill) McCullough and Roxann (Danny) Weyer; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN and on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at St. Paul’s UCC Church.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s UCC, 8701 Big Cynthiana Road, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Terry Farmer followed by burial at St. Paul’s UCC German Township.
