He graduated from Harrison High School in 1976 and then worked as a mechanic for Hullett Motors in Boonville. In 1982, he started with ROBUR (Arkla) where he was a trouble shooter and was able to travel throughout the world. He was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Glenn V. Simpson; grandmother, Alberta Ellis; and grandparents, Sadie and Eskel Simpson.
He is survived by his mother, Bernita E. Simpson; aunt and uncle, Wanda and Herbert Toone; uncle, Glendal R. Ellis; cousins and their families.
Private family services and entombment will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery.
