He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and was stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War. He was retired and was a member of Local 1076. He loved art.
David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julie (Yates) Brandt; sons, Jeff Brandt (Lori) and Steve Brandt; grandchildren, Jack Brandt, Elizabeth Murray (Ryan), Kristi Brandt, and Jennifer Brandt; great-grandchildren, Syra Murray, Abigail Brandt, Skyler Murray, Avery Johns, and Ava Johns; siblings, Michael Brandt, Harry Brandt, Patricia Chapman, Pamela Kolb, Albert Brandt, Thomas Brandt, Sandra Cogswell, Robert Brandt, and Janet Schwartz; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Fr. Alex Zenthoefer officiating. Burial will follow at Park Lawn. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
