David L. Hobbs Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Theresa (Thornton) Hobbs; children, David Hobbs III and Miranda Eckert (Jason); grandchildren, David Hobbs IV, Jadah, and Jennah; bonus grandchildren, Jason and Jaxsten; brother, Dale Hobbs, Sr. (Chris); and sister, Sandy Kiessling; and several nieces and nephews.

David graduated from Central High School and went on to earn his Associates degree in electronics from ITT Tech. He enjoyed playing chess, camping, fishing, and gambling, particularly playing poker. David also liked traveling to the St. Louis Zoo. He worked at Rem-Kay and Casino Aztar.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel,officiated by Fr. Ray Brenner, with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
