Deanne J. Chapman

She was an avid dog rescuer, devoting her life to rescuing, saving, adopting and finding homes for dogs. She worked with the Warrick Humane Society and Vom Blue Rescue. She had over 3,000 Facebook friends that shared her passion for saving dogs.

Deanne is survived by her sons, Shane Knight and wife, Laura, and Jody Lehr; mother, Helen Ashby; stepfather, Donald Ashby; grandchildren, Cameron and Courtney Knight; uncle and aunt, Rev. Leon Hatchett and wife, Joyce “Bubbles”; aunt, Diane Downing; very close friend, Dale Payne; and other relatives and friends.

Her wishes were to be cremated. There will be a memorial service Sunday, May 1, 2011, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM and a fellowship reception from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Wayside Chapel, 501 W. Lincoln Avenue, Chandler, IN with Rev. Leon Hatchett officiating.
