

Deborah Sue Schofield, 66, of Evansville, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born February 1, 1951, in Evansville, to the late Thomas R., Sr. and Thelma G. (Crook) Hale.
She worked at the Petroleum Club as an accountant for 33 years and was currently employed as an accountant at the Kennel Club. She was a member of the Riverbend and a former member of Eastern Star. She was an avid NASCAR fan, attended Daytona yearly and Jeff Gordon was her favorite driver.
Debbie was preceded in death by niece, Lori Hale.
She is survived by brother, Dick (Linda) Hale; nephew, Brian (Jen Gifford) Hale; nieces, Melissa (Brandon) Crawford and Stacey Hale, and beloved dog and best friend, Abbey.
The family would like to thank the ICU and 6th floor nurses, doctors and staff at Gateway for their kindness and compassion for Debbie and her family.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Stephen Schwambach, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3:00 to 8:00PM, Monday, October 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
