She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Sailer in 1996.
Carlette is survived by her loving and caring partner, Pam Jones. Other survivors include her mother, Vickie Sailer; sister, Susie Bruder (Michael); brother, Charles Sailer; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and hundreds of friends, colleagues, clients and fishing buddies.
She worked as a barber for 40 years and competed professionally in her earlier years. Carlette decided to become a barber as a young child, when she could barely reach Daddy’s head, standing behind his chair and would comb his hair. She was one of the first women barbers in the area, never considering it a job because she loved what she did for a living, mainly because of her clients. She cut a fifth generation before retiring. Fishing was her choice for relaxing especially in Arkansas in the Ozarks with cousins and family.
There will be no showing and her ashes will be scattered off a bluff overlooking an area she loved to fish in the Ozarks.
Donations are asked to be made to any humane society or animal rescue of your choice in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
