Dianne Lynn Hayes

Dianne Lynn Hayes, 79, of Evansville, IN passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born on September 30, 1946, in Evansville to the late Charles P. and Madeline E. (Vandenbark) Schneider.

She attended college at I.U. Bloomington and the University of Evansville. Dianne was a legal secretary for almost 40 years. She was a member of Simpson Methodist Church and a 50-year member of P.E.O Sisterhood since 1966. Her hobbies included shell collecting, crocheting, bowling, reading, and she was passionate about helping care for her granddaughter. Dianne loved all of her animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel John Hayes; parents, Dr. Charles and Madeline Schneider; and brother, David Schneider.

Diane is survived by her daughters, Shannon Fletcher and Morgan Fletcher; granddaughter, Skylar Fletcher; and son, Danny Hayes (Mary).

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, Evansville, IN 47710 with Rev. Bill Altman officiating. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Private entombment will be held at a later date.
