He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 42 years.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Ashby; step-daughter, Deanne Chapman; grandson, Jody Lehr; brothers, Charles Ashby (Janice) and Earl Ashby.
He is survived by his son, Tony Ashby; grandson, Shane Knight (Laura); granddaughter, Randi Hebner (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Cameron and Courtney Knight and Atlas Hebner; sister, Mae Klabis; sister-in-law, Betty Ashby; and nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at East Lawn Cemetery, 5715 KY-281., Hanson, KY 42413.
