

Don graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from U.S.I. in 1983. He started his career in public accounting, earned a CPA and then worked at American General Finance (OneMain Financial), where he ultimately retired as the CFO. Don later worked for and retired at Atlas World Group, where he was the CFO. He was a charter member and active in the Accounting Circle at U.S.I. for many years. Giving back to the community was important to Don. He was a member of Turning Pointe Church. Don enjoyed bowling, golf and loved spending time spoiling his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and In-Laws, Doris and Harry Kellams.
Don is survived by his wife of 40+ years, Susan L. (Kellams) Breivogel; sons, Donald Breivogel III, Joshua Breivogel (Erin), and Adam Breivogel (Libby); grandchildren, Wyatt, Christopher and Ray; brother, Michael Breivogel (Teri); sisters, Dianna Johnson and Pamela Mahoney (Glenn); aunt, Phyliss Lambert (Thomas); sisters-in-law, Roseann Derk and Karen Kellams; and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don's funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Deacon Thomas Lambert. The funeral will be livestreamed beginning at 1:20 p.m. at www.Facebook.com/funeralstreamUSA
Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
