Dorothy was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Heusler.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Burns and son-in-law, Chris DeVault.
She is survived by her daughter, Shearon DeVault; sons, Terry and Shannon Burns; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and brother, Dallas Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 12:00 PM Monday, May 26, 2014, at Salem UCC-Heusler, 11325 E. Old Lower Mt. Vernon, Road, Evansville, IN 47712, with burial in church cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at church.
