Dorothy Laverne Little

Dorothy Laverne Little, 89, of Evansville, IN passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on July 26, 1936 in Wadesville, IN to the late Arnold and Matilda (Seibert) Neumann.

Dorothy graduated from Reitz High School in 1954. She was very involved in her community, serving as a Patrol Mom at Helfrich Park School and a dedicated member of the Red Hat Society and Isis Temple 41, Daughters of the Nile. Dorothy enjoyed camping, which she combined with her love of family to serve as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She found joy in reading, painting, and a variety of crafts. Dorothy worked for Shane Uniform and later retired from Rexam Plastics after a dedicated 30-year career.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Douglas Lee Little.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald Little, Sr.; son, Don Little, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Little, Jamie Taraschke (Shane), Cory Little, and Austin Little (Mia); great-grandchildren, Patrick Boyles, Jaden Taraschke, and Charlotte Little.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W Illinois Street, Evansville, IN. Family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park.
