Edna K. Sailer Sensmeier

Edna enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She loved eating chocolate and anything that was the color purple.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 1964; sisters, Matilda Schroeder and Ida Wedeking; and brother, Raymond Sailer.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Carolyn of Princeton, IN and Mary Ann of Memphis, TN; sons, Paul (Susie) of Christiansburg, VA, Ronald of West Lafayette, IN, Arthur (Patti) and Melvin both of Evansville; grandchildren, Mark (Laura) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Lynda Oleksuk (Richard) of Blacksburg, VA, Katie Sensmeier, Kara Grangier (Steve) and Korie Nellis all of Evansville, and Kelli Bovenkerk (Jason) of Indianapolis; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steed Jackson and the staff at Parkview Care Center for their compassionate care.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jerry Wirth. Private burial will be in Salem Church of Darmstadt Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, June 10 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
