Esther was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and a loyal friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gray, and her parents, Arklie and Esther VanHooser.
She is survived by her son, Matt Gray (Tammy); daughter, Tammy Buono; grandchildren, Jordan Gray (Hannah Keown), Jacob Gray (Elexus Wells), Tasha Covert (Nathan Haas) and Amanda Porter; brother, Joel VanHooser (Donna); niece, Debbie Stahl; nephew, Danny VanHooser (Leda), and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Esther had a deep love for animals, a fondness for shopping, and a quick wit that made her truly unforgettable. Known for her bold sense of humor and playful sarcasm, she often left people laughing - and sometimes blushing - with her perfectly timed zingers. Wherever she went, her beloved husband Jim was close behind, smiling and shaking his head with admiration and amusement. After more than five decades of marriage, they are now joyfully reunited.
