

She attended Springfield Grade School, graduated from New Harmony High School, and went on to attend DeVry Beauty College in Evansville. Ethel worked at Marcel’s in downtown Evansville and then opened her own beauty shop in her home. She attended Bethel Temple Community Church and was a member of Bible Fellowship Hour. Ethel also served on communion ministry, greeters ministry, and helped to prepare food for Living Christmas Tree and Living Scenes of Easter. She enjoyed being a dedicated wife and mother and considered her two sons one of the best blessings in her life.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harvey Williams (Doris Jean), Charley Williams, and Ora Williams, infant sisters, Phyllis Jane and Betty Lou, and infant brother, Bobby.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Chester Korff; sons, Brian Korff (Terri) and Brad Korff (Janene); granddaughters, Sarah Korff (fiancé, Nick Whetstone) and Karley Korff; sister, Mary Eisterhold; sister in law, Doris Jean Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Tim Judd, with burial to follow in Trinity Lutheran Church of Darmstadt Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
