G. Steve Holland

Gary "Steve" Stephen Holland, age 74, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024. He was born on August 15, 1950 in Evansville, IN to the late Lee Roy Holland and Theresa Helen (Milligan) Holland.

He graduated from Bosse High School in 1968, spent many years as an over the road truck driver, enjoyed listening and playing music and played the drums. Steve loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He never met a stranger and could remember people. Steve couldn't go anywhere where he didn’t run into someone he knew. He remembered the important things in life like birthdays, anniversaries, people’s names and was always considerate about reaching out to people on their special days.

Steve is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jannett Holland; children, Lisa Lashbrook, Brad Holland; grandchildren, Danielle (Joseph) Glockner, Steven (Bailey) Lashbrook, Ashley Armstrong, Meredith Holland, Camille Holland, and Andrew Holland; great-grandchildren, Darcy Glockner, Rose Lashbrook, Gary Steven Lashbrook, and Trenton Armstrong; brother, George Thomas Holland; good friends, Willy Williams, Danny Wilson, and Aaron Eich; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Theresa Helen (Milligan) Holland; son, Robert "Robby" Holland; brothers, Bob, Bill and Barry Holland; and sisters, Barbara Davis and Bonita Golden; and favorite son-in-law, Gary Lashbrook.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2024, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN and again on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at noon on Saturday, November 23, 2024 officiated by Pastor Cliff Herring. Burial and final resting place will follow at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN.
