He worked at International Steel for 17 years and enjoyed dancing.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Earl Embry; and granddaughter, Grace Embry.
He is survived by his mother, Fay Embry; sons, Greg (Veronica) and Ryan (Natalie) Embry; daughter, Trina Embry; brothers, Mike (Misty), Mark and Roger Embry; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Nall, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
