Griffin was born on May 14, 1983 in Evansville, Indiana. He graduated from Harrison High School in 2001. Griffin followed his calling into law enforcement, completing the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2012. He proudly served with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Department. Griffin and his loyal K9 partner, Archie, served as a certified K9 team – a bond of trust and loyalty that became one of the defining chapters of his career. They received numerous National awards.
Griffin was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved to fish, and joke. His humor came quickly, his smile even quicker, and his generosity never came with strings attached. He helped others quietly and constantly, asking for nothing in return.
He was a proud member of the Hadi Shrine and a Mason with Lodge 64.
Griffin is survived by his loving parents, Cathy Bush (Steve Willem) and David Bush; his sister, Erin Wildeman (Kurt Wildeman); his beloved nephews, Hank, Kash, and Case Wildeman; and his K9 companion and best friend, Archie- his partner in service and in life. Griffin is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Griffins’ legacy will live on in the stories, smiles, and hearts of everyone he touched. He was larger than life but never too big to stop and help, to laugh, or to love.
