Helen Patricia Sloan

She was a 1959 Reitz graduate and a member of Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church. Her heart belonged to her familyl; she loved and cared for everyone she met.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jack and Robert Cox.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ben; daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Shoptaw of Newburgh and Laura (Philip) Allen of Day, NY; son, Greg (Le'Ann) Sloan of Evansville; grandchildren, Steven (Rebekah), Jonathan (Samantha), Hannah, and Rebekah Shoptaw, Justin, Sarah, Katelyn, and Spencer Sloan; sisters, Mary Reibel of Ohio, Betty Stansberry of Bloomington, and Phyllis (Joe) Beliles of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Ruth Deller; and brother-in-law, John (Gladys) Sloan of Newburgh.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor John Sloan and Pastor Rodney Sloan, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
