Elaine was a graduate of Rex Mundi high School. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and her family. She enjoyed her Florida trips, her husband’s Indianapolis 500 ritual, and lastly their train trip to New Orleans. She worked in a variety of industries as an executive secretary, including Xerox and Deaconess Health Systems.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gary E. Moore; mother, and step-father, Ruth and Henry Mueller; father, William Watkins; sister, Kathy Mueller Johnson.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Steven Head (Rhonda), Paul Head (Sherrie), Newark, DE; grandchildren, Adam Head (Morgan), Brett Head and Andrew Head; two great grandchildren; father of her children, Ronald Head; step-son, Mike Moore (Karen), Venice FL; step daughter, Julie Moore (Mark Schulte), St. Louis; four step grandchildren; sister, Connie Montooth (Philip); brother-in-law, Don Johnson, Pittsburg, KS; three nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Father Henry Kuykendall with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 3-7 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 and Saturday 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
