Jack Miller Trout, 84, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born August 15, 1932, in Wheatcroft, KY, to the late Ernest “Dub” and Effie (Hicks) Trout.
Jack graduated from Wheatcroft High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served four years on the U.S.S Yancey. After 38 years of service, Jack retired from Bristol Myers where he worked in electrical maintenance. He enjoyed riding motorcycles together with his wife, and belonged to the SIMA and CMA. He was also a member of First Christian Church. He loved his church and family.
Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Powell; and parents.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jane (Bennett) Trout; sons, Jack Anthony and John Mark (Albina) Trout; grandchildren, Matthew Stevens and Jack Pavel Trout; great-grandchild, Joshua A. Stevens; sister, Viva Prow; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 2:00 PM Monday, May 1, 2017, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jerry Clark, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends visited Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel.
