Jimmy served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a life member of Boonville VFW #3418 and Amvets Post #9. He was a member of the American Legion Eugene Pate #265. Jimmy was disabled for many years and kept busy by doing for others. He was an avid Clabber player. He was very social and especially enjoyed making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ocie Folsom; brothers, Daniel and John; and sisters, Hannah and Ruthie.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Alice K. (Johnson) Folsom; sons, James Folsom, Jr. and Jason Folsom; daughters Kellie Cobb (David) and Rhandi Dargon (Andrew); stepdaughters, Karmylle Ellington (Billy) and Linda Sandefer (Michael); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Robert Folsom (Mary); and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Alexander North Chapel, Pastor John Fark officiating. Friends may visit Wednesday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
