

Red worked as an auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Wilma “Willie” (Powell) Phillips; parents, Harry and Mildred (Spangler) Phillips; brothers, Harry, George and Bobby Phillips; and sister, Kathy Clifford.
Red is survived by his children, Tammy Clark, Jamie (Blake) Fulton, James “Jimbo” (Tammy) Phillips, Wendy (Terry) Brown; grandchildren, Chris (Missy) Phillips, Cara (Manny) Harrison, Nic (Tiffany) Blanchard, Logan (Christy) Schmitt, Jonathan Wink, Shayla (Corey) Lambert, James David Phillips III, Bryona (Kevin) Ray, Mark Turner, Terriana Brown, DeShawn “Dre” Brown, Trevor Fulton, Trace Fulton, Tavon Clark and 17 great-grandchildren.
Red’s family would like to thank North Park Nursing Center and Gentiva Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend military honors followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Home West, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 am to service time.
