She was proud to be of Native American Ancestry and she enjoyed Native American history and making crafts. She volunteered at Native American Days at Angel Mounds.
Janice was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Brock; and her mother, Barbara Young.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Marks; son, Michael Young; daughter, Maria Whitaker; grandchildren, Keith, Chelsea, Whitney, Alyssa, Destiny, Michael and Patrick; brother, Tom Whitney and his wife, Cheryl; step-father, James Whitney; and mother-in-law, Mary Jo Marks.
A funeral mass will be 1:30 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Father Ted Tempel. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
