Joan “Meem” (Weil) Danenberg, 87, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at her home. She was born November 30, 1927, in Washington, DC, to the late Arthur and Paula (Fischer) Weil. She will be deeply missed.
She was a proud graduate of Bosse High School and retired from EVSC in 1996 after 23 years of service. She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and took pride in her hobby of raising goats; she had raised many pairs throughout the years.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Alvin; parents; and twin brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Hancock and her husband, Jerry Bell; grandson, Aaron Hancock and his wife, Kerri; great-granddaughter, Brooke Hancock; great-grandson, Landon Hancock; and her two beloved dogs, Sadie and Gypsy.
