

He was a lifetime member of Pentecostal Prayer Center until its closing, and he currently attended God’s Way Church. Scott was a member of National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and was active on many Southwestern Mental Health Center committees.
Scott enjoyed genealogy. He loved God’s word and had an extensive Bible and book collection.
Before his father’s passing, he and his dad enjoyed working on mechanical engines.
He was a caring son, brother, and uncle.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bethel.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda “Joyce” (Hargis) Bethel; siblings, Jennifer Embry (Jim), Pamela Bennett (Steve), Donnie Bethel (Kendra), Kristina Stasi (Robert), Melissa Johnson (Allen), Teddy Bethel (Angela); 19 nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jim Stuteville with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home and on Thursday from noon until service time.
