

Joseph Louis House, 15, of Evansville Indiana, passed away on February 8th, 2026. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to John House and Callie (Brown) Stark on January 22, 2011. Joseph’s radiant light was undeniable to everyone who met him. Rather he was helping his family, friends, classmates, teachers, or strangers he was always thinking of others above himself. He truly had a pure heart of service for others.
Joseph was a student at Washington Middle School where he is loved by friends, teachers, and classmates. His greatest passion was playing video games with his brothers and friends, collecting Pokemon cards, and reading horror books written by K.R Alexander. Known for his love and compassion for others even when facing the scariest fight of his life. He stayed true to himself, held close to his faith and love for God all the way to the end. Brave, perseverent, loyal, loving, and kind Always! He brought so much love and light to this world and he would want all who knew him to honor him by spreading joy and kindness everywhere you go. Be the light he showed us is possible; even in the darkest night.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey Brown, Karen Brown, and Aunt, Ashley Stark.
He is survived by his loving parents, John House, Callie (Brown) Stark and Wesley Stark, his siblings Jordan Brown, Caleb House, Grayson Stark, his grandparents, Ricky House, Vicky Moody, Willard and Tracy Stark. Best friends Khison, Aiden, Evan, Jashawn, Edwin, Nick, Ben and so many more friends and extended family.
Joseph’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the incredible nurses, doctors, and staff at Peyton Manning Children’s hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are forever grateful for the happy memories each of you gave Joseph over the last several months. There are too many to list, but you each know the impact you had on our family.
A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held on Friday February 13th, at 2pm (CST) at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN 47712. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 12th from 4pm-6pm (CST) and Friday February 13th, from 11am-2pm (CST). The family requests that attendees honor his spirit by wearing anything Pokemon, Anime, or red or purple.
