

Joseph Lee Templeton, Sr., 83, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Good Samaritan Home. He was born September 19, 1931, in Henderson, KY, to the late Freddie and Delilah (Mills) Templeton.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War and later worked as a plumber. He enjoyed NASCAR and watching sports with family members.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kenneth Templeton.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maxine (Molinet) Templeton; sons, Joseph (Vickie) Templeton, Jr., Keith (Vonda) Templeton and Kent (Cheri) Templeton; daughter, Jackie (Jeff) Rhoades; grandchildren, Ronald J. Handley, Jr., Joseph L. Templeton III, Tracee N. Templeton, Tifinee N. Templeton, Matthew K. Templeton, Erickia M. (Michael) Wilson, Shavona D. Templeton, Joy (Dave) Moulton, Julia (Michael) Steiner, Janna Rhoades, Mitzi Templeton, and Dawn; great-grandchildren, Sylas M. Templeton, Gracelyn J. Wilson, Adaliah C. Walls and Mason Steiner; sisters, Beulah Dielkes, Charlotte Molinet, Ann Daily, Savannah Brawdy and Ina Neal; and brother, Ralph Templeton.
Friends visited Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel. Funeral services were 11:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the funeral home, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park.
