He was a lifelong resident and a true West Sider, graduating from F.J. Reitz High School in 1970. Keith's favorite time of year was of course... Fall Festival time.
Keith was a humble man who never sought the spotlight but was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His compassion extended to both people and animals, and he was known for his love of his grandchildren and granddogs—Jasper, Iris, and Macy. Keith had a special place in his heart for all creatures great and small, from the backyard rabbit he affectionately named Flopsy to the birds he enjoyed feeding. A man of many talents, Keith took pleasure in camping, boating, and working with his hands. He found joy in the simple things, whether it was a day out on the water or a family gathering, playing games with family and an occasional Corona or glass of wine. He cherished spending time with his loved ones, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Keith had a unique way of making life fun, known for his playful sayings like answering the phone with a cheerful “Yello” and his classic with the kids “Made you Look.” His opinionated nature was balanced with a warm heart and an unwavering willingness to help others.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kathy (Schneider) Mitchell; children, Ryan E. (Heather) Mitchell, Erika L. (Christian) Ceballos; grandchildren, Broderick Mitchell, Jaycee Mitchell, Faeryn Ledrick, and Fallon Ledrick; siblings, Carolyn Tyring; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Keith is preceded in death by four brothers, Gary, Bruce, Jeff and Troy Mitchell.
