Kira Irene Campbell

A beautiful soul gone too soon! Kira Irene Campbell passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was born in Newburgh, IN on February 16, 2004 to Kristen (Harrison) Banks. Kira attended AIS Diamond High School and graduated early at the end of her junior year. She worked at G.D. Ritzy’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s and one summer at Holiday World. She attended Ivy Tech for a short time and had aspirations of becoming an attorney. Kira was intelligent, funny, witty, and she could bring on the charm and sweetness to butter someone up if she wanted something. Her smile could light up the whole room and she was so beautiful. Kira loved babies, even at an early age, and babysat when she was old enough. She was meticulous about her clothes, hair and makeup, always wanting to look her best. Kira loved art and when she was in high school she designed a Christmas card for a contest and won first place out of all the high schools in Evansville. Kira is survived by her mother, Kristen Banks and stepfather, John Banks both of Evansville; father, Hector Sheriff of Owensboro, KY; siblings, Alexia Harrison, Tyler Campbell and Drew Campbell; grandmother, Deborah Harrison of Evansville; grandfather, Victor Harrison of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandmother, Melita Smith of Owensboro, KY; special uncle, (D’uncle) Matthew Pierson of Mt. Vernon, IN; great grandmother, Sharon Bayer of Evansville, IN as well as aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., officiated by Elder Wayne Harris, Sr., with burial to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the funeral home.
