Larry A. Meeks, 68, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 17, 1952 in Evansville to the late Adele and Arthur Meeks.
He graduated from North High School in 1970 and retired from Lensing Building Specialties after 40 years where he was known as “Lugnut.” He was a member of Evansville Athletic Club and was a fan of Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Detroit Red Wings. He enjoyed deer hunting, guns, boating, and throwing horseshoes.
Larry was preceded in death by his best friend, Terry Fink.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Nancy Alexander; son, Larry A. Meeks, Jr (Tara Burke); grandsons, Larry A Meeks III “Trey” and Hunter Meeks; brother, Robert Meeks; sisters-in-law, Debby Wrenn and Lisa Alger (Kevin); nephews, Alex, Austin, and Adam Alger; and his hunting buddy, Gary Fink.
To honor Larry’s wishes, there will be no public funeral service.
