

Lela F. Daub, 102, of Evansville, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Parkview Care Center. She was born December 7, 1911, in Posey County, to the late Lorenz and Lorena (Schauss) Scherer.
She worked on the farm and enjoyed driving the tractor. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ on Michigan Street, VFW #1114 Ladies Auxiliary, Order of the Owls, and the Evansville Blind Association, where she enjoyed playing cards. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and quilting. She loved watching wrestling on TV.
Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Daub.
She is survived by her son, Albert Daub; grandchildren, Karen (Garrett) Phelps, Sandy (Steve) Doan, Albert Daub, Jr., Candy Pace, and Bobby Pace; great-grandchildren, Robert Haar and Destiny Phelps; great-great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Lela and Alexander James Haar; nieces, Helen Manchette, Velma Mae Hein, and Arletha Jenkins; cousins; and special friends, Jane and Charlotte.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 10, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Pyle and Rev. Jeff Long, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
