He served in the US Army, worked at Whirlpool and built homes in Fort Branch, IN. His hobbies included remote controlled airplanes and playing the piano and harmonica.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Carrie Walburn; brother, Virgil Walburn.
He is survived by his daughters, Joni Schultheis (Hilary) of Evansville, Nancy Bannister (Roger) of Evansville, and Janice Carter (Donnie) of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Kristy Hill (Lanny) and Jason Park (Caitlin); five great-grandsons; brother, Bill Walburn (Maxine); and his favorite dog, Roxy.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Mr. Stephen Rogers. Friends may visit from 12:30 PM until service time.
