

Linda graduated from Central High School. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s in education from Evansville College (U of E). She taught English, Speech and Drama over 38 years at Princeton, North High School and retired from Oak Hill Middle School.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. A lifetime member of Bethany Christian Church. Linda enjoyed traveling to Alaska, China, Turkey. the Caribbean and across the US.
She is survived by her children Pam Newmaster (Bruce) of St. Louis, Anthony Hawkins (Sheila) of Evansville, and Loriann Kocialski (Stuart) of Avon, IN.
Grandchildren Tiffany Drone, Jarred Newmaster, Wesly Pinkston (Will), Hannah Kocialski. Great Grandchildren Auston Drone, Liam, Ewan, and Isla Pinkston.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband of 38 years Ted Hawkins, sister Margaret Ann Barton, and brother Roy Mandel.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd, officiated by Dr. Dan Lovell. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
