Lola “Frances” Branch, age 94, of Evansville died on March 24, 2020, at Pine Haven Nursing Home on the West Side. Despite failing health in recent years, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born on May 13, 1925, she is preceded in death by her late husband of 47 years, James Edward Branch, and her sister, Linda Wigand.
She is survived by her three sons, Roger Loran Branch, Robert “Bob” James Branch, and Ralph Edward Branch; niece, Lori Voyles from her late sister Linda and her recently-deceased husband Larry Wigand; step-grandchildren, Josh Carson and Jessica Gonzales (Carson) from son Roger Branch and wife Kris Branch; grandchildren, Harris Kershner Branch and Loran Cottrell Branch from son Robert and his wife Robin Branch.
A devout Christian, Frances attended numerous churches in the tri-state area over the years, living a life of steadfast faith and charity for the past fifty-plus years. She was an avid student of the Bible and various theological topics. In her younger years she enjoyed singing in church choirs and ensembles.
A private ceremony is being held for the immediate family. A future gathering open to all will be scheduled when the current state of public health concerns allows.
