Don was a member of the VFW in Oblong, IL and also a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed camping, gardening, and loved NASCAR. He served in the Army where he was stationed in France during the Korean War. Don was a long time member of First Grace Church of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Don is survived by his wife, Pattie Goodwin; children, Cathy Johnson (Bill), Carla Greulich (Bernie), “Don” Goodwin Jr. (Pam), Gale Leach (Mark), and Jeff Goodwin (Phyllis); brother, Gerald Wayne Goodwin; sister, Dorothy Lackey; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Rick Morphew with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel.
