Louise Summerville, age 90, of Evansville, IN passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Louise was born to the late Joe R. and Gusta Brodie on July 16, 1931 in Evansville.
Louise was the manager of Buckner and Kennedy towers for the Evansville Housing Authority, from 1975 until her retirement in 1996.
She was an active church member, serving as church secretary and on the deaconess and mother’s boards at Liberty Baptist Church and Dove Chapel, respectively.
Her sibling’s names are as follows: Edward Brodie (deceased), Virginia McGee (deceased), Cordelia Wimsatt (deceased) and Ruth Douglas.
Twice married and mother of six, she is survived by her daughters, Debbie Merriweather, Anthoneia Dunbar, Stephanie Summerville, Leaynne Summerville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, November 22, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. A Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Randall Lander, Sr. of Dove Chapel Full Gospel Baptist Church officiating. The service will be live-streamed www.Facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA.
Floral and memorial contributions may also be made to the family at the funeral home.
