

Marilou Meyer, age 91, of Evansville, IN passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at North River Health Campus. She was born on February 23, 1934, in Evansville to the late Samuel E. Main and Helen Mae (Sapp) Main.
She retired in 1994 from Bristol-Meyers Squibb, and she had previously worked at Alcoa and Whirlpool. Marilou graduated from Central High School in 1951. She received the National Honor Society award her Junior and Senior year at Central. She was an active member of Bethany Christian Church. Marilou served as an elder in the church and was chairperson of many committees within the church. She taught Sunday School and taught in Vacation Bible School. She loved to sing in the church choir and started while she was still in grade school. Marilou loved to square dance and enjoyed going to Texas in the winter months to square dance with friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd E. Meyer; and brother, Jerry Main.
She is survived by her son, Craig Meyer; daughter, Kathy (Wayne) Wilkey; grandchildren, Helen, Blake, Grace, Brian, Lorelei, Cassandra, Alissa, and Cameran; and several great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with Rev. Michelle Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the funeral home, and from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Monday. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
