

Marlon P. Flemming, 58, of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born November 7, 1956, in Evansville, to the late William and Leola (Rogers) Flemming.
He was a member of Progressive Holy Temple Church, where he served as Deacon and Treasurer. He worked for INDOT in the maintenance department. Many people will remember Marlon for his football glory days at Reitz High School and the Indiana University football team, winning the Liberty Bowl in 1979. He also enjoyed fishing, outdoor grilling and watching local football.
Marlon is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marlene (Wall) Flemming; daughter, Marissa Flemming; granddaughter, Arissa Flemming; grandson, Royce Flemming; brothers, William Flemming, Jr., Oscar McGee; sister, Hattie Williams; sister-in-law, Anna McGee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Christian Tabernacle Church, 1041 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN, officiated by Dr. William W. Simmons, Sr. with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday, 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
